GFR / Kidney Function Calculator

eGFR estimates kidney filtration from serum creatinine, age and sex (2021 CKD-EPI creatinine equation, adults 18+). The categories G1 to G5 follow KDIGO. Chronic kidney disease is diagnosed when reduced eGFR (below 60) or other markers of kidney damage, such as albumin in the urine, persist for at least 3 months, so one result is not a diagnosis. Creatinine-based eGFR can be less accurate with very high or low muscle mass, some diets and some medicines. Screening tool only: consult a doctor or nephrologist.
