Estimate your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) with two published equations. An estimate, not a measurement.

Basal Metabolic Rate is the number of calories your body needs to maintain basic physiological functions (breathing, circulation, cell production) while at complete rest. The Mifflin-St Jeor equation (Mifflin et al., Am J Clin Nutr 1990) and the revised Harris-Benedict equation estimate it from weight, height, age and sex. They were built from adult samples, so measured values can differ by hundreds of kcal. This is an estimate, not a personal target or medical advice.
